Intermountain Gas typically updated their maps daily. However, because of the time needed to rebuild the cached maps in their geographic information system (GIS), users might not see these updates until weeks later. Intermountain Gas needed a better, more efficient way to build and manage caches.
The client was the primary contractor responsible for organizing and editing the final environmental impact statement (FEIS) for a stand-alone pipeline project with the U.S Army Corp of Engineers. This 700 page document is filled with technical information (input from researchers and scientists) related to environmental science and had to be reviewed, updated, and approved by multiple experts.
Our client needed to shift a substantial computing workload from 2 aging virtual clouds to 1 new cloud. At the same time, the virtual machines (VMs) needed to be physically consolidated from one side of the city to the other. To maximize gains, our client also tasked us with configuring advanced features on the new cloud.
As part of its new case management system (CMS), the RCA wanted a comprehensive public web portal. Although the CMS included a portal, the RCA needed more functionality.

Each summer, ENSTAR technicians were required to inspect more than 30,000 gas meters and record meter conditions on pre-printed paper forms.
ENSTAR wanted to improve their work processes by having technicians capture this information electronically using mobile devices while simultaneously field verifying meter information.
