It’s pushed him to adapt quickly and come up with creative solutions, making an overall amazing experience. Corporate

For Nathan, the best part of working at Resource Data is the people. What stands out most to him is the strong sense of community across the company, something he says is rare in organizations of this size—especially ones spread out from Houston to Anchorage. That connection is a big reason he stays. One of his most memorable projects was leading the move to a new applicant tracking system, which made it easier for candidates to apply and for the hiring team to connect with them. As Resource Data’s talent acquisition lead, Nathan enjoys helping bring in the right people for the right projects and connecting with colleagues from all over the country.

When the workday ends, Nathan often volunteers at community theatres in Houston or enjoys tabletop, card, and video games. Before his career in recruiting, he even performed in a children’s theatre company’s original musical at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. Living in Houston, he loves the city’s endless variety—from its world-class arts and music scene to its incredible food, which goes far beyond BBQ and Tex-Mex. Whether it’s catching an Astros game, exploring the Museum District, or a night at the theatre, Nathan never runs out of things to do.

    Richard Piwonka

    Project Manager

    Anchorage, Alaska

Richard enjoys the challenge of stepping into a client’s struggles and helping them discover solutions or guiding them as they bring their vision to life. At Resource Data, he highlights the variety that comes from working with a wide range of industries and technologies, while still having the chance to focus on his areas of expertise. What he appreciates most, though, is the thoughtful way the company recognizes and applies each employee’s strengths. His favorite project so far has been the Data Warehouse Modernization Project for the State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. It’s especially meaningful because it connects to his background in education, turning his time as a teacher and assistant principal into experience he now applies through data and dashboards at the state level.

Richard spends his free time running on roads and trails, a hobby that balances out his love of food and trying new restaurants and breweries. Along with football, which he follows closely on weekends, Richard enjoys bowling and once competed in a local tournament with the company team, Ctrl + Alt + Strike. Most of all, he loves outdoor adventures with his wife and two daughters, and Anchorage makes it easy for them to spend time together—whether it’s biking through trails, finding rocks at the beach, or heading into the Chugach Mountains just minutes from home.

    Anchorage, Alaska

Mike thrives on working with a variety clients across different industries, that keeps things fresh and gives him a front-row seat to how technology is shaping all corners of the world. One of his favorite parts of the job isn’t the tech itself, it’s the ability to craft technical project proposals, piecing together the heart of a solution from clues the client might not even realize they’ve given.

The Anchorage branch has the same quirky, special energy as Alaska itself, and when he’s not at work, you’ll find him outside—hiking, climbing, skiing, or lending a hand in the community. He calls Girdwood home, where the Chugach mountains are basically his backyard playground.

Fun Fact: Mike is a licensed bear hazer!
