Our Team

Welcome to Resource Data’s Anchorage office, where work and play coexist in perfect harmony. Our team loves getting outdoors, from skiing and dog sledding to fishing and hiking. When we aren’t embracing all that Alaska has to offer, you’ll find us enjoying a barbeque with friends or reading by the fire. Join us and experience a work culture that values collaboration, respect, and hard work.

Our Work

Whether it’s supporting the implementation of a system to track and manage winter maintenance efforts or building a mobile app to share air quality data, our projects support the very organizations making Boise and Idaho a great place to live. We work for some of the regions biggest companies in logistics, agriculture, utilities, and more.

Life in and around Anchorage

Anchorage, Alaska, where true wilderness is at your doorstep, is a treasure trove of outdoor adventures, from skiing and fat tire biking to ice climbing, hiking, and dip netting. Anchorage is not just about the great outdoors; it also boasts craft breweries, outdoor concerts, a first class performing arts center and museum, and diverse restaurants.

The city also offers access to uniquely Alaskan events Fur Rondy, featuring the infamous Running of the Reindeer and Outhouse Races, as well as the Bear Paw Festival, known for its iconic Slippery Salmon Olympics. From craft breweries to outdoor concerts, a first class performing arts center and museum, there is something for everyone in this vibrant and unique city.

We think we're swell. But don't just take our word for it.

Ashley Rizor
Ashley Rizor Sr. Project Manager Due to Alaska’s northern location and large geographic expanse, we are home to a mix of industries, cultures, and physical landscapes. I am particularly passionate about geospatial solutions for natural resource development and environmental monitoring, which there is no shortage of in Anchorage. As the business capital of the state, Anchorage affords direct access to this diverse set of clients and projects, allowing me to stay highly engaged through meaningful, impactful work.
Rich Wawrzonek
Rich Wawrzonek GIS Lead I like that the office is centrally located in mid-town where you have easy access to everything and also the ability to bike to work. Being at the largest branch of our company puts many of my colleagues within reach to bounce ideas off of and learn from.
Kathy Tessaro
Kathy Tessaro Sr. Business Analyst The Anchorage branch has always been water-cooler conversation, open door, and altruistically friendly; No cliques; No hierarchical posturing; No knowledge hoarding. It sounds too good to be true, but fellow workers are truly helpful. Most will stop what they are doing to lend a hand when you are struggling with a difficult task.

Meet Diane

Director, Anchorage

Diane has always been motivated to do her best and she has a remarkable way of drawing the best out of others, too. She joined Resource Data in 1998 and become the Director for Anchorage in 2018. Her favorite thing about being a leader is the absolute joy of getting to know each person she works with. She has loved the challenges and learning opportunities working at Resource Data offers.

In her free time, Diane can be found reading, walking, and taking pictures as an amateur photographer. If she took a year off of work, she would take a road trip across the United States and Canada, directing her travels to lesser-known locations.

Whether in a book or on a hiking trail, Dave likes a good adventure. He loves reading and discussing books with his book club (a favorite pick was Red Notice, by Bill Browder – a true story of high finance, murder, and one man’s fight for justice!) and exploring the Talkeetna Mountains. His all-time favorite trail leads to a well-preserved TB-29 Superfortress bomber plane that crashed on a glacier in 1957. As Resource Data’s controller, he enjoys diverse work, like multi-state taxation and emerging-issues research, and his super bright and very talented coworkers.

    Mark Underwood

    Programmer Anchorage, AK

Mark is a gamer, explorer, and musician. Games like Minecraft and Skyrim fill him with wonder and curiosity, while difficult games like Dark Souls have taught him about the thrill of hard-fought victory. He has traveled near and far, by plane, boat, and bicycle – his favorite destination being Ireland. And while he says he hasn’t mastered any particular instrument, he enjoys playing a small variety of them, including the drums, the tin whistle, and his own voice, which is the one he plays with the most skill.
What Mark likes best about Resource Data is its dedication to employees. He’s enjoyed seeing interns he’s mentored become long-term employees and appreciates the programmers, project managers, and admins that have helped him along his programming journey. It also doesn’t hurt that free food has a way of mysteriously arriving – and disappearing – from the kitchens in the building!

A few of Mark’s favorite things

    • Food Mac and cheese, the kind with real cheese and bacon
    • Music Heavy/Power metal
    • Video game Minecraft
    • Board game Cranium
    • Movie The Princess Bride
